Ok, so you've got a nice flat spot and about 6 hours to blow, so let's get to it. [Hold your mouse over the pictures to see specific highlights] First, soak down all six body bolts with penetrating oil or WD-40 - don't want to break the stock bolts - we had to re-use some. REMOVE BOTH BATTERY LEADS! This is vital to make sure you don't harm your battery cables. Do one side of the vehicle at a time, front to back (i.e. the driver side of the cab, then the passenger side, then the driver side of the bed, then the passenger). Now, remove the driver and passenger side upper rocker plates by removing the
screws and prying up with your fingers GENTLY!: Then, remove the driver and passenger side kick panels by pulling to the rear
of the vehicle GENTLY but firmly: Pull back the carpeting and expose the middle cab mount bolts: Stow the rear seats and open both driver and passenger side storage
covers. Empty both covers, pull back the carpeting and expose both rear
cab mount bolts: Remove the bumper adjuster nuts from both sides: Then disconnect the turn signals and remove the bumper shroud bolts (be sure
to first disconnect the one-time-use clips on the bottom bumper skirt first): |
